Can You Add a Referral Code After Signing Up in Canada?
Sometimes. Referral recovery depends on the provider, the signup stage, and how much time has passed. This guide compares the recovery rules CRC has verified for current Canadian referral offers.
We may receive a referral benefit if you later qualify through an offer. This does not change the recovery rules shown below.
Quick Answer
Recovery after signup depends on the provider. Some allow self-serve or support-assisted recovery; others require the referral before registration or a specific account milestone.
Documented Recovery
A published recovery path exists. Use it before the cutoff.
Limited or Support Review
Recovery depends on timing, account state, or provider approval.
Signup-Only or No Published Process
Use the referral route before signup; retroactive credit is not documented.

How to Use This Guide
Recovery language matters. A provider saying support can review a missed referral is not the same as a guaranteed retroactive credit.
Check the Cutoff First
Look for a time window or account milestone such as first funding, first trade, account-number creation, activation, or completed signup.
Use the Canonical Offer Page
Each row links to the current CRC deal page—or a dedicated recovery guide when the provider's recovery rule is complex enough to warrant one.
Referral Code After Signup FAQ
Can I add a referral code after signing up?
It depends on the provider. Some publish a recovery window or support path, while others require the referral during signup or before a specific account milestone. Use the provider row above rather than assuming one rule applies everywhere.
Does “no published recovery process” mean recovery is impossible?
No. It means CRC has not verified a current published process that guarantees retroactive referral attachment. You can still contact the provider, but do not count on approval unless the provider's current terms or support guidance confirms it.
Why do only some providers have a dedicated recovery guide?
CRC keeps most recovery guidance on the canonical deal page. A separate guide is used only when the recovery flow has enough timing, qualification, or account-state detail to justify a standalone explanation.
